Abruzzo’s Italian Foods & Confections
Privacy Policy
The plain-language version of what we collect when you use this site, where it goes, and how to ask us about it.
Last updated October 13, 2026
The short version
- We ask for what a real order needs: your name, your email, and a phone number if you’d like a call back.
- We never sell your information, and we don’t run advertising trackers on this site.
- We don’t take payment details here – orders and reservations are settled with us or our partners.
- Want to see, correct, or delete what we have about you? Email us and we’ll take care of it.
01Who we are
Abruzzo’s Italian Foods & Confections is a family-run kitchen in Corydon, Indiana. The restaurant is at 117 W Walnut St, Corydon, IN 47112, and the bakery and deli are opening at 109 E Chestnut Street in October 2026.
This policy covers what happens when you use this website. It doesn’t cover the reservation, ordering, or social platforms we link you off to – those have policies of their own.
02What you tell us
There are two ways to reach us from this site. The contact form, which appears on the Contact, Bakery and Restaurant pages, asks what you need help with, your name, phone, email, and a message. Bakery inquiries also allow optional items requested, quantity, flavor, pickup date and time, and the pick-up person’s name and phone number. The catering form adds the event date, event address, food service time, and number of people.
Every field is there for a reason. Your name and phone are how we call you back, your email is where the quote or confirmation lands, and your message is what we actually cook from. Only your name, email, and message are required for general and bakery inquiries. Catering requests also require the event date, address, food service time, and number of people.
Please keep anything sensitive out of the message box – no Social Security numbers, no card numbers. A simple allergy note is welcome and genuinely useful.
03Where it goes, and what we do with it
Your message is saved to a private database that only Abruzzo’s can read, and a copy is routed to the right inbox: bakery@abruzzositalian.com for bakery orders, catering@abruzzositalian.com for catering requests, and abruzzosfoodtruck@gmail.com for everything else. We use it to answer your question, price a job, and get the order right. That is the whole purpose.
We don’t sell, rent, or trade your information. We don’t add you to a marketing list – we aren’t running email marketing today, and if that ever changes, you’d have to opt in first.
04What gets collected automatically
We don’t install our own analytics or advertising cookies, so simply browsing this site doesn’t build a profile of you for someone else to buy. A few honest exceptions worth naming:
- Our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs – things like browser type, pages requested, and timestamp – to keep the site up and to spot abuse.
- Pages that show a map load Google Maps, and Google can set its own cookies once that map appears on your screen.
- If you click through to Facebook, TikTok, or Resy, those platforms may record the visit under their own policies.
05The services we hand you off to
Reservations go to Resy, online ordering goes to our ordering partner, and the social icons go to Facebook and TikTok. The moment you land on one of them, their privacy policy applies instead of ours. Worth a skim before you book.
06How long we keep it
We keep an inquiry for as long as it’s useful – long enough to complete the order, and a while afterward so we can remember what you liked last time. Records that stop being useful get deleted or stripped of what identifies you. You can ask us to remove yours sooner, and we will.
07How we protect it
The database sits behind access controls, so only the people at Abruzzo’s who need it can see it. Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Our forms carry a hidden spam trap that quietly discards bot submissions before anyone reads them. No system is perfectly impenetrable, but this one is built to keep your details out of strangers’ hands.
08Your choices
Ask and we’ll tell you what we have about you, fix anything wrong, or delete it. No fee, no form to fill out, no hard feelings. Email abruzzosfoodtruck@gmail.com with “Privacy” in the subject line, or call the restaurant and ask for us. We may ask a quick question first to confirm it’s really you.
Wherever the law where you live gives you additional rights over your information, we’ll honor them the same way – by answering the phone or the email and doing what you asked.
09Children
This site is made for grown-ups ordering dinner and cake. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we’d rather you didn’t send us a child’s information. If something like that reaches us, we’ll delete it.
10If this policy changes
We’ll update the date at the top of this page, and if a change is a meaningful one we’ll say so plainly right here. What you’re reading is always the current version.
